For the summer of 2008, the MC North pool swim season will be from May 24 - September 1.

We are happy to announce that the YMCA will be our pool management company. The YMCA will be offering swim lessons and will be coaching our swim team. More details on the swim lessons to come soon.

Pool hours

The regular pool hours listed below apply to all days except regular Wylie ISD school days: May 27 - May 30, June 3 - 4 and Aug 26 - 29. On these days, the pool will be open from 4 pm - 9 pm. Also, the pool will be open on Memorial day and Labor day.

The swim team will begin practice on June 5th. Practice will be Tuesday - Friday, 9 - 10am with swim meets on Saturdays.

To join the MC Swim Team, please fill out the enclosed registration form. The cost to join the swim team is $100/swimmer (payable to the Garland YMCA). This includes a swim suit, t-shirt, 5 swim meets and a championship meet.

The forms and checks can be mailed to the YMCA (attn: Kurt Turner) or emailed to the YMCA and then paid on the first day of practice.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim will be from 6 - 9 am (Tuesday - Sunday). Anyone wanting to do adult swim at the Maxwell Creek North pool will need to fill out the waiver (attached) and contact Liz Cantu at lcantu@lonestarmanagement.com so that she can give proper access.

$42.00/2 week session.

Registration and payment must be received the Friday before the beginning of the session to ensure the correct number of instructors.

The Form, obtained here, can be faxed to the Garland YMCA (972) 494-4411 and paid by phone with a credit card or taken to the YMCA in person. Credit Card payments can be accepted via phone (972) 272-3484. A representative from the YMCA will be at the pool on June 14 from 12 - 3 pm to accept forms and payments (cash only).

10:00-10:40am
All Preschool Kids (Ages 3-5). We will provide enough instructors to maintain a 1:5 ratio

10:45-11:25 am
All Youths (Ages 6-12). We will provide enough instructors to maintain a 1:6 ratio.

For sessions 2 and 3, in addition to the morning lessons, there will be evening lessons:
7:30 - 8:10 pm
All Preschool Kids (Ages 3-5). We will provide enough instructors to maintain a 1:5 ratio

8:10 - 8:50 pm
All Youths (Ages 6-12). We will provide enough instructors to maintain a 1:6 ratio.

Saturdays will be used for make-up days in case of rain. Sessions run for two weeks
